Theemom.... based on all the responses I've seen as a totally non associated outsider, I would remove the table scraps and feed only layer pellets for the next two weeks. It can't hurt anything and might answer your question. What do you have to loose?
If I were you, I would just keep feeding them the way you are doing it and just give them some more time----They will lay.
The question was tips/tricks to get them to lay. So Now My "Tip" is to--Just Keep up the good work and give them some more time!!
If you are in a hurry then you got some Good advice above.
If you got all that good extra food scraps and were going to stop using it to try a high protien feed to see if you can get them to lay fast-----freeze the food scraps and send it to me-----quick----I will feed it to my chickens. LOL
