What are you going to do differently today to reach your goal?

Lace up your sneakers, even if you're just staying around the house!

Remember, there are many people here rooting for you!

Here we go, ladies & gentlemen!

Today I am going to fill my three 20 oz water bottles and put in the fridge - and then actually drink them! And I am going to plan some snacks, clean some cauliflower and carrots, probably.

Drinking more water and stop snacking all day. I also have to clean barn and bring in wood today, does that count? ;)

Fit and trim homesteaders are less likely to die from cardiac arrest while chasing goats.

I'm at 129, down three in the last week. I have worked on reducing the evening snacking and meal size.

Today I'm going to add at least a mile walk, maybe two.

CF, whom is not conserned with their weight? Healthy eating is the key to weight loss, no white foods, they are full of short term carbs which add to body weight. We, as homesteaders can grow our own healthy foods, raise low fat rabbits, organic chickens, veggies, ect.

In that a similar thread in General chat would draw a lot of static I see no reason to remove this, it is not vulgar, nasty, or negative. Where else would this subject be posted?

Organic. Tractor. Chickens. Now is this qualified to stay? Yes I know its not center core homesteading but again it is not harmfull. Yes, it is shallow, I agree but we do not have a health forum here - where it would belong.

Well, I've tried to contact Chuck about what to do with this information - we're gaining a "following" - but I haven't heard back, so please be patient - we'll be out of your hair soon enough

I always weigh more in the morning than the afternoon...guess it is fluid retention...but we will start of with the morning weight...178 lbs.arrrrrrrrrrr....But i have been not eating the dreaded cookies and avoiding snacks...Not eating anything not natural and got my nuts yesterday...so I am back on the right track...it just takes time...but it will be time investing in getting healthy so I can handle all these chores on the homestead...
If the "homesteaders" aren't healthy the farm usually ain't healthy...
Pound by pound...here we go...MissKitty :goodjob:

Good morning All! I hope you are all feeling motivated and energetic.

I printed out a calendar and assigned exercises for every day of the week (nothing on the weekends). There is walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes and a 15 minute tummy video each day this week. I also wrote "water" so I can put a checkmark for each glass I drink...I drank a gallon yesterday.

    Keep it up, Everyone!!!!

Okay, okay, you've convinced me. I didn't want to delete it in the first place....but I don't make the rules....I just enforce them.

    Good luck to all!

    Morning everyone!
Water is no prblem for me. I always drink about 1 gallon a day. I did have fruit instead fo a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I will also try to eliminate the refined flours and sugars. Good luck and patience to all.

Good morning everyone! I'm planning to blow the dust off my gazelle and actually use it. I was given the green light to walk long distances again now that the broken ankle is nearly healed. I'm excited about that! I'll be starting my 2 1/2 mile daily walk again soon. (I should probably build up to it, I don't want to dive into it full bore and end up limping again for a few days.)

I think losing weight is very homestead related. We tout our lifestyles as being the healthiest choice, I think we should look and feel that way too.

I started my day out with 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 slice of whole grain bread with 1 Tbs peanut butter and a cup of roma. Equals about 350 calories. I'm shooting for 1600 calories a day, drinking more water, and moving my carcass more!

    Luck to us all!

Healthy homesteaders live longer. Homesteaders needing to lose weight do it better together as group by supporting each other. By losing weight together, homesteaders bond with each other. Losing weight makes us happy homesteaders. :D
