Thousands of ducks dying in ID - news link

    I know we have avian cholera outbreaks among migrating waterfowl. I suppose this is one of the first things they would try to rule out.

    UPDATE: I just heard on the local news; it has been determined that the ducks died from an infection from eating moldy corn on a nearby farm.

    That's not surprising, if ID has been getting the same wet weather that we have up here. I was going to glean the neighbour's cornfield after they harvested, but I decided I didn't want to risk the chance of picking up moldy corn! It hasn't dried out here since September.
