I was wondering are you using a regular rectal Mercery Thermometer, or a regular digital for oral/rectal use. I can see keeping the goats still for the regular one ,so I was wondering if any one has luck with a digital.

I picked up a children's digital rectal thermometer that was on sale at Odd Lot. It is smaller and perfectly shaped, can't go too far in and is easy to hold in. Works fantastic.

I use the digital. It seems safer and easier to use than a glass one.

I use digital also. Better reading and easier on the goats I think.
