    Yeah, I usually jump in with both feet, throw away a lot of food then backslide. Or I delude myself and say I'll start as soon as I've finished all this bad stuff in the cabinet. Either way is no win for me.

    Wolf mom, that is the diet mentality and you're far better off to modify your lifestyle instead of putting yourself on a punishing program that will make you unhappy. Start with simple things like eating fruit and veggies instead of packaged snacks, maybe try and ease up on sugars and fats a bit. You'll make much better progress if you can make changes that you'll live with and enjoy rather than hating every day of it and waiting till you can 'go off the diet and go back to eating normally.'

    SOOOO true....I keep thinking that I will get back on the wagon tomorrow....well by then the wagon is so far ahead of me that i have to build a new one

    or I say to myself well tomorrow is another day.....well yeah, another crappy day just like today...

    if I could only magically remember to drink water
