Well, it's a muddy mess around here today. As I was slopping my way back to the barn, I took a few pics. They may seem a little melancholy, but that's the feel outside today. The whole place just looks ugly since the snow melted and everything is naked and wet. So, what's happening around your 'stead today?

I like those pics. They don't seem meloncholy to me. I see perseverence and continuity in them. Thanks for sharing them!

It is unusually warm at 62F, raining and a mild thunderstorm here in western NC. Had 2 new calves when I went to check on the cattle.

Our goopy mess has refrozen, but it looks the same, only it hurts more when you slip and fall on the ice :stars:

    Nice shots!

Well, I'm enjoying the thaw. Went out and did some pruning of the fruit trees and miscellaneous cleanup outside.

Some of the girls (bees) were doing cleansing flights.

Ran some errands and picked up supplies for making mead (airlock, floating thermometer and hydrometer, champagne yeast, etc). Just finished doing a load of dishes.

It's been raining off and on here in upstate NY. Yuck. I loathe winter rain and the sloppy half frozen mess. I'll talk snow any day.

If it were NOT so dang muddy out, I would probably be enjoying too. I am actually using the rainy day opportunity to get some work done on websites that I have let go too long.

I wish it would thaw. They even said it's suppose to get warm. But the high today was 35. I would love just one warm day.

thawed out here today too. I have been out using it to my advantage, pulling out some stubborn roots and things that are much easier to get up when there dead and then the mud just lets it pop right out of the ground. Messy but I will appreciate in the spring. talked dh into making me some raised beds today too. Have big plans for this years flowers and crops since we have the goat population under control.

We've been enjoying some very nice weather here since last week. Highs in the mid to upper 60s & lows in the high 30s & 40s. We had temps that were 20-30deg. below normal in early Dec. & a couple of very light dustings of snow,so I'm enjoying the nice weather while it lasts.
