Or maybe I should have called it prying eyes.

Peter Thiel and Larry Ellison want to install a camera up your ass and almost everywhere else so big brother can watch.

Anyone else feeling it?

Peter's money comes from U.S. government contracts.

Larry's does too.

Together they are worth approaching $500 billion.

We are one contract away from having a camera up our ass.

Bill Gates,
Chris Larsen,
John & Laura Arnold and
Elon Musk
Provide and funds global digital ID initiatives, Real-Time Crime Center, consolidated feeds from cameras, license plate readers, drones, and body cams, aerial surveillance over cities with wide-area cameras tracking street-level movements citywide and enable data collection and government partnerships for tracking etcetera.

They themselves are worth almost a trillion dollars.

I think surveillance will be our next pacifier.

Benjamin Franklin in a letter written in 1755 on behalf of the Pennsylvania Assembly "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

He is the same guy that said that famous quote: "A republic, if you can keep it."

Most people carry a tracking and spying device in their pocket where-ever they go.

SMART [ Surveillence, Monitoring, And Reporting Technology ].
And the day will come when you cannot buy stuff without it.

Its not what you are doing that worries me, its what THEY are doing. They are violating the 4th amendment whether you are doing something that interests them or not.

They are sneaking around, invading your privacy, breaking the law and lying about it. I asked my mother-in-law why she has a Ring camera, you dont know who has access to that. She asked 'what Im doing that I wouldnt want anyone to see'. I really dont understand that logic.

Published 26th Sep 2025 - “You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have a digital ID,” Sir Keir Starmer has said, as he attempts to crack down on illegal migration.

The Prime Minister made the announcement at the Global Progress Action (GPA) summit in London, before joining a panel with Canadian and Australian prime ministers Mark Carney and Anthony Albanese.

The digital ID will be compulsory for anyone who wants to work in the UK, Sir Keir said, and pledged it would be introduced ahead of the next Parliament.

People will not be required to carry the ID, which will be held on smartphones, or asked to produce it.

I thought this was going to be about conjuctivitis

Never heard of the Larry or Pete

BUT
presently, the Maine DOT is installing cameras at intersections and from what I understand people aren't feeling it.

But at the same time so many people have wifi enabled cameras on their homes - so what's the difference really?
They say those are private, but is anything on the world wide web really private? I don't know, I'm asking.

But it is called a web.... and spiders use webs for ____. (fill in the blank)

It's getting hard to get by without a smart phone now. Even the Amish are carrying them.
Every time someone tells me they need to send me a text with a click link, or I need to scan a QR code to do something they look at me like I'm the village idiot when I tell them my dumb phone is not capable of doing such things.
Resistance may be futile, but a smart phone won't fit in the pocket of my jeans. 😁

Depends on the Amish. The real conservatives arent doing cellphones. They live in my area and we get along well. Whenever somebody says QR code or 'text', I just tell them I dont do cellphones. Its never been a problem. Usually the response is very positive. I think deep down everyone realizes these things are a problem.

Im proud to say Ive never sent or received a text in my life.

Palantir
In J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, a Palantír is a magical, crystal-like seeing-stone that allows its user to observe distant places, events, or people, and sometimes communicate with others over great distances. These ancient artifacts play a significant role in the story, often tied to themes of knowledge, deception, and corruption.

Americans traveling to Europe will soon have their fingerprints scanned and picture taken when they arrive in countries like France, Italy and Spain under new regulations being rolled out across the continent starting next month. Those who don't provide such biometric data will be told au revoir, arrivederci or adiós.

The change comes as the European Union rolls out its new Entry/Exit System for not just Americans but all visitors from outside Europe's Schengen Area, a group of countries that allows people in the zone to travel across borders freely without going through customs checks.

French overseas departments like Martinique (along with Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Mayotte, and Réunion) are not part of the Schengen Area. They follow separate entry rules aligned with France's national policies but outside Schengen's border framework. As a result, the EES does not directly apply to Martinique.
