ingredients Two pounds uncooked dry cranberry beans. (Pink pintos) One half pound smoked hog jowl. One quart chicken broth. One medium yellow onion. Two quarts spring water. Dice up hog jowl into half inch cubes, place in bottom of 5 quart crock pot. Peel and dice up onion, add to hog jowl. Rinse and sort beans, add to crockpot. Add broth, then fill crockpot to top with water. Set crockpot on hi, let cook four hours. Serve over fresh cornbread with your fave greens on the side.
