I finally figured it out. I have a tendency to suffer from both, and sometimes they kick up similar symptoms - and I guess they ARE linked anyway. The other day I was accused by someone of being mentally ill - referring to the depression I suffered LAST winter. Now I am fighting through the depression this year - so I was REALLY ticked off by this. But it made me stop and think - am I getting depressed. This morning I figured it out. I know I am not depressed.

When I get depressed I sleep - a LOT. When I get stressed I sleepwalk!! THREE TIMES last night I woke up doing something. First time I woke up sitting at my computer desk, ,second time I woke up on my way back to bed with a piece of cheese in my hand, and the third time I was walking round the living room (don't have a clue what I'd been doing).

Definitely STRESSED LOL - but you've got to laugh really ;)

You're not alone. We're occasionally stressed with building a new business, but on top of that this time of year I get depressed. It's cold and bleak outside with the wind howling so I'm feeling down in the dumps. Now if it was sunny and warm I'd most likely feel better.

On top of the weather change, I think any normal person taking a good look at what's going on in this nation with job loss, the economy, etc. is going to get a bit overwhelmed and depressed at times. It's really tough to focus on the positive.

DH keeps reminding me that the only person who's happy at all times is the village idiot. Big group hugs!

When I'm stressed, I start to stutter. It usually happens around this time of year. But look out, one can lead to the other starting that little negative feedback loop, very difficult to get out of - especially in the winter time.

{hugs}
