umm... Hello everyone. Well, you see, I am working on making a kimono for my fashion and design sewing project. But the problem is that I do not know what tension setting to set on my Little Brother Sewing Machine.:Bawling:

I need it set for silky nylon, right now it is set on sturdy cotton, because that is the only setting that we have needed to use. I also would like to know what sort of needle to use, and what slipper foot to use. If anyone could help me, it would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Use a small needle (size 11 or smaller, if you can find one). And make sure it's new, so it's nice and sharp.
Tension, you'll just have to fiddle a little bit. Use a scrap piece of fabric. Everyone's machine is a little different, so it's kind of hard to tell you online...
Just remember, if the top thread is too tight, the bobbin thread will pull up from below. Loosen your tension.
If it's too loose, the top thread will pull down to the underside. Tighten it up. You want them to meet as evenly as possible.

This is Terri, as Briana is now in bed.

Silk pins? I have never heard of them! I will have to take her into town to get some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, thanks for talking my daughter through this: she has never handled this kind of fabric before, and I did not have the answers to her questions!
