The western part of the state is beautiful. There is some pretty areas north and west of Souix falls-I think they call it the pot holes (??)- a lot of small ponds/lakes that attract a lot of wildlife.

I remember driving through heading east from Montana one time and I swear everybody I passed going west waved at me.
