I have a ewe that has not had lambs on her for at least 6 weeks and all of the sudden one side of her udder is very large. It is not red, however. Should I try to milk her our or would that make things worse? She kind of walks slowly to avoid it hitting her leg, but she is eating fine and gets up when all the others do.

Is it hot to the touch?

She could have the start of Mastitis. I would recommend milking her out, taking note of what the stuff that comes out looks like.
You can use some Today, to help dry her up.

If it gets worse, you might have to use a round of antibiotics.
