Sweet peas + sunflowers?

    I wonder if I can plant sweet peas at the base of sunflowers and let them climb the stalks for support. I know they both are heavy feeders...Tell me what you think. I am in SE Alaska so there will be no shortage of water, to put it mildly. Thanks so much in advance!

    I planted sunflowers and sweetpes together. Unless the sunflowers are staked, they may not stand up. but it sure was pretty.

    How Much Of A Head Start On The Sunflowers Before You Plant The Sweet Peas. I Have Sunflowers Just Coming Up Now......anyone Know..?..what A Sweet Idea!
