    Friends,
Do any of you have a recipe for home made sweet mix (sweet horse feed)? I'm looking for an organic mix to feed my lamas.
    Thanks,
    Al

We use COB, which is just Corn, Oats, Barley and Molasses...is that whaqt you are talking about? I think the grains are 33/33/33 then molasses to coat.

You could add a little beet pulp to that mixture if you wanted.

Is that measured by weight or volume?

Must be by weight cause my COB seems to have a lot of barley. I understand the molasses is sprayed on under high pressure as the grains are turned in a tumbler. I have a 50# sack of molasses and if I use a flower sifter I could probably get in evenly on the grains but it would take a while. By the way in my COB the corn is cracked and the oats rolled, barley looks whole.
