I don't know if it is the same thing, but my ears - really mostly one was filled with fluid for almost a month. Sometimes it was so bad I could not hear. I tried warm packs, flushing with warm water and vinegar, antihistamines, even resorted to some antibiotics the doctor had given my husband for ear infection - nothing worked.
We go out of town once a month to a thrift store that has half price on the last Saturday of the month. We buy books - lots of books. The books are shelved all the way to the floor, and there are lots of them. I can't kneel or squat, without a lot of trouble, so I have to just bend all the way over and hold my head to one side. After some time, I noticed my ear kinda 'gurgled' - nothing painful, just noticed it and it continued for about 20 minutes. When I got back in the car, my ear was clear.
I'm guessing the fluid traveled to a point it could get out - don't know. I've tried to wonder how I can replicate that action here at home if they fill up again and decided I would just demand to go book shopping again.
