I have a beautiful large terra cotta pocket planter. It is full of beautiful strawberry plants and has been growing really well. This week some of the leaves have turned brown just around the outside edge....al the way around. What is this? Too much water? To much heat (it's been 100 here for several days). I do have them sitting in the shade but the air temps are hot. I don't think it is a fungus...but don't see anything under the leaves or in the middle of the leaves. What's wrong?

It sounds like the leaves are storing salts from either fertilizer or perhaps the water there is too sweet. The ph might be too high from the minerals in the water.
