What a surprise! Went out to the greenhouse today to find the strawberries planted in there last year are flowering already. Yippee! We might have strawberries Mid-May. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a ripe strawberry from blossom to picking? I'm thinking a month.

It could be a month, or maybe only 30 days. We'll stop in for strawberrie shortcake about the 10th of May.

And while you're a visitin' maybe I can whip you up some strawberry-rhubarb pie, or some rhubarb custard pie.
