So what's your "story" behind the username you chose for this board? Or I should say, WHY did you choose the name you did when you registered on here?

(I know this has been asked a year and a half ago [I checked ;) ] but new people come on here, and...yeah.)

I'll start. I chose my username 'cause my mind ran blank...so I just use my first name and the initial for my last name.

is what my grandkids call me. They have a gramma, a nanna, a great gramma, a great great gramma, a grammy and a ninn. They have a grampa, a pop pop, and a boppy (DH). This was all worked out by Angela when she was about a year old-she gave everyone different names-we have always been ninn and boppy from the time she started to talk.

A friend of mine wrote a song entitled 'Lodestar'...we live in the north...and the northstar often grounds me.

    Lodestar, by Sarah Harmer
    here's Sarah's website

Out of the night, into the water,
We push the boat from shore.
Breaking the air in the stillness of the bay.

Intensity of stars reflected in the harbour,
    Silently ignite.
The oar dips in to oil like water and we,
    Are away.

Your hand won't write, not tonight,
    But your mind may wander.
Into those deep lagoons that you know.

And your boat will go, by starlight alone.
"Da da da da da da da da"
    You sang to the moon.
In the great black night with no lodestar,
    In sight.

Out in the night, out on the water,
We pull the boat back to shore.
Breathing the air in the stillness of the bay.
Intensity of stars reflected in the water,
    Silently ignite.
The oar dips in to oil like water and we,
    Are away.
    Under the moon,
In the great black night with no lodestar,
    In sight.

    And wait for it,
There are only two things now.
    This great black night,
    And the fire glow.
    Listen, the darkness rings,
    The darkness.
    Listen, the darkness rings.
    And wait for it,
There are only two of us now.
This great black night scooped out,
    And this fire glow.

ThreeJane (or, more properly, 3Jane) was the name of a character in a Gibson novel, "Neuromancer".

the reason behind my call name is we lived in a family homeless shelter for two months. when the day it was snowing we got a call about this trailor and how a local church group who I worked with trying to make some money. had paid my depoist and first month rent. and got me a job.

White Christmas was playing in the background. and it was again when I found this site. I tell you anytime I hear White Christmas I cry alot. but this is my luck charm and Blessing from God.

L'argent de Poche means pocket money in French, like allowance.

It was also a movie we watched during French class, it was a comedy.

Cuz' that's my name. It is so unusual I have often thought of dropping my last name and using only the first name. Something like "Elvis", "Cher" or "Madonna". No wait scratch that last one.

As a writer I'm often poking about for fictional character name ideas. Thought I'd come up with a pen name of my own. Edayna is sort of a muddled/inventively spelled version of an Irish name meaning "little fire." I figure that's me, at 5'2" I'll never be a big fire. :)

I love dragonflys. A lot of other people love them too. So I added my anniversary date 11 13 I use dragonfly1113 for everything except my email which is just dragonfly. I got tired of trying to use dragonfly when I registured at sites for it to say username already taken.

Well, I raise rabbits. Lots of rabbits. And I'm not particularily creative. :) I'm "cremerabbits" elsewhere.

If I had to do it over, my username would probably be Eydrun. It's Icelandic - sounds cool: "ayth-roon".

fitwind was my husband user name before he passed away 5 years ago. He said it meant "Fart in the Wind" . I decided to keep his user name in his memory of him. I have changed the meaning of it though to me it means "Face in the Wind". Because after his death I had to pick my self up and put my face in the wind and start my life over.
