Just wondering how many of you, when mowing in your pastures, will leave certain areas of wildflowers or cactus, etc.?
I've been skipping a few spots for a couple of years now and am developing some nice patches of wild flowers. This year I found an Indian Paint Brush and Black Eyed Susans. Last year I left some little yellow daisy type flowers and they're multiplying well. I also have cactus in some spots around the edges (in the shade.. go figure.. guess it's to hot for even cactus!! LOL)
I only have to mow twice a year out there, the horses and goats keep it down pretty well for me.
