Standard weights and measures question...

    Anyone know where to find charts of weights and measures for agriculture products?
    I am looking for the standard weight for such as,
    Potatoes.......? lbs. per bu.
    Beans...........? lbs. " "
    Fruits, etc.

    I used to have a list of weights for 5-gallon buckets and 5-lb coffee cans. I thought that was the most useful thing! I don't kwow where it went, but I pretty much know for the things I use the most.

    I hope this helps you. I found this on a calendar we get from the feed store.
    potatoes...60 lbs per bushel
    white beans...60 lbs per bushel
    onions...57 lbs per bushel
    peas...60 lbs per bushel
    turnips...55 lbs per bushel
    corn, in ear...70 lbs per bushel
    sweet potato...55 lbs per bushel

    the only thing I found for fruit is for dried
    apples, dried...26 lbs per bushel
    peaches, dried...33 lbs per bushel

    :) Thank you, thank you. I have searched for quite a while but couldn't find any thing like that. I had an almanac years ago but, alas, threw it away,it had info in it. That was long before I ever knew I'd be interested. Thanks all for your replies.....Margo
