Dogs, in general, love to chase chickens. I mean, the chickens runs, flap their wings, and yell. What's not fun about chasing that? You can train any dog just about to not mess with the chickens. My Lab, a bird hunting dog, will let the chickens walk all over her. She's knows that chasing chickens means trouble. My collie is young...she hasn't gotten the message 100% yet so I do not leave her unattended if the chickens are out.
