Gourmet lettuce doing great, thinking of adding sprouts? Anyone do this? I can't grow broccoli, but I can grow broccoli sprouts! I would have to set it up in a large quantity so I was thinking of two 4" deep clothing plastic containers, top with drain holes, add muslim, add soaked seed, mist? Is it worth it? If yes, how much do you charge?

Rowena, I grew sprouts for my Farmer's Market for one season. I gave it up because I was too worried about spoilage when the weather got hot. I could keep them cold, but the buyers might not and I didn't want to be responsible if someone got sick. They can spoil quickly in the heat. I grew mine in gallon glass jars with cheesecloth over the top. Muslin won't work - it's too dense to let the water flow through. Before you try them to sell, grow your own and practice, practice, practice! Look it up on the net and really learn how. I only grow for myself now. Good luck!
