I have two 50 acre pastures that I rotate in much smaller paddocks. The south side is where the cattle wintered, so it is eat back pretty short.

The cattle have not been on the north side since fall growth stopped. Both are mostly Fescue with considerable native Bermuda.

What would serve me best? Putting the cows on the north side, with pretty good stockpile, before it greens up, or wait until it greens up? They would only be on the north side about a week or so, and then I would pull them off after they ate the stockpile.

Thanks
