I have a spider lily question. My spider lilies (lycoris radiata-red) didn't bloom this year. I planted the bulbs last year and they "leafed out" made green shoots but didn't bloom. I have some in a flower bed and some in a planter box. I just don't understand why they didn't bloom. :help: :help:

you might want to check on the garden web forum. I have read that they will not bloom the first year you plant them.....and people who had blooms the first year were actually surprised. never have grown them myself, so this is hear-say!
