solar water

    ok some of you mite know me ...i am always lookin for the most simple cost effective way of doing stuff ...and i know that there are 1000 ways to heat water ...i want to know what worked for you all but i need pictures or hand drawnings like that

    The ones in the "Batch" section are the simplest, but they can't be used year round in cold climates -- you can just drain them in the coldest months. The simplest cold climate one that I know of would be the one listed as "Maine Solar Primer Batch Heater".

    The first couple listed under "Closed Loop and Drainback Systems" are fairly inexpensive and simple, and will work in cold climates year round.

    At todays fuel prices, these batch solar water heaters can pay back the cost of materials in less than a year.
