Soft Hooves

    I have a 3 month old nannie goat that I just noticed her hooves are soft the outer shell is pliable abe flares outword she doesn't seem to have any problem walking or running. any ideas of what I should do.

    Sounds like they just need a little trimming. Do you have a book to show you how? Ask the person you bought your doeling from to show you how to trim hooves. It should be done about every 6 weeks.

    I trimmed the hooves they will still need more attention but I didm't want to take off too much. I have 9 other goats from the same heard all withn a month of age but this is the only one that has the hoove problem. I am new to goats. Does the hooves differ greatly between goats or is this one just hasve bad hooves.

    Sounded to me just like they needed trimmed, too. Some hooves grow faster than others.
