My DD's 4-H pig (about 9 wks old) has a cough and is acting lethargic. Its been weaned for 1 week and is in a pen w/ 2 other siblings.
Anything specific I need to for or is there something to give it to prevent it from getting any worse.

    Thanks

I would call the vet. They have a new one time drug out. I can not remember the name of it...there is another one called Draxin. But it is VERY expensive. Or you can give her LA 200(biomycin). The biomycin is less painfull for the pig. You would have to give her another dose in 72 hours or so.

For a just weaned piglet with a cough I would agree with BuckshotBoers and at a minimum give it two doses of the Biomycin or LA-200, whichever you have. If it is not eating, try feeding it some flavored yogurt to get it going.
    Good Luck
