It has been reported on other goat lists, that Tues evening while on a trip in PA, that Shelby was killed in an automobile accident. She was such a nice woman! and will be missed by many.

this is copied from nubian talk.

    Sad News

It breaks my heart to tell you all that Shelby Brown was killed in an
automobile accident in Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening. I have no
other information at this time but will post as soon as I find out
    about memorial services, etc.

Shelby was a joyful person and could light up a room with her smile.
She and her husband, Teg Gregory, had a Grade A goat dairy in Beasley,
south of Houston, where they raised mostly Saanens and Alpines. She
was a good friend and will be missed by a lot of people.

OMG, I am so sorry. She helped my daughter with a goat question for a 4H project that she was preparing. She was so warm, knowledgable and caring. I know that she will be dearly missed by those who knew her well.

I am so sorry to read this. My prayers go out to the family.

In reading her posts..she was always busy with something..involved..energetic. I hope that her posts will be preserved here..so that others may continue to learn from her answers and her questions.

Makes me appreciate every day just a little bit more.

another local Texas goat person was in the truck with Shelby, all I know of him is that he has a wife.

More info off the lists --

I received this message from Shelby's husband:

A memorial service will be at 10 am on Thursday, 5 Oct, at Creekside
Christian Fellowship Church in Needville across from the High School.

I also found out last night that Ray Adams, another local goat person,
was in the truck with Shelby when the accident happened. He survived
but is expected to be in the hospital/rehab for at least four months,
    possibly longer.

I'm going to talk to our goat club members tomorrow about putting
together on-line auctions for both Shelby's family and Ray. I'll post
    more details next week.

This is a very sad thing and i send my prayers to both families.
I bought a beautiful Boer buck from Ray Adams, he helped me get started. May he have a speedy recovery.
