has any one used sheeps wool as a winter nesting material? have lots of wool and thought that it would keep them toasty warm as it sheds water and is abundant!(and cheap!!!)

Ford, I did this just once, and had problems with strands of the wool wrapping around the necks of some of the kits. I guess if you chopped it small, or had a type of wool that didn't have long strands, it might be ok. Otherwise, I can't recommend it, although it IS warm. Jan in Co
