I was wondering what it could signify for a sheep to have tear tracks????????????

We only have two sheep w/ white faces and one of them has distinct tear tracks on her face, I am clueless.

Perhaps she was sad? Ok ok she may have a mild infection called pink eye or just have a habit that is putting her face in dustier conditions than her friend. You should check to see if her eye lids are swollen slightly and if so get her on a course of tetracycline.

:haha: Okay, you made me laugh ;)

She seems to be fine otherwise. I just wondered b/c we have had this ewe for two years and I have never noticed the tracks before and just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Her eyes look clear and she doesn't act sick at all.

Maybe she is sad, we have stalled b/c she should be lambing soon :haha:

Any chance her eyes are being irritated by dust from hay or bedding?
