Does anyone know if sheep will do okay if fed peanut hay? I'm not talking about perennial peanut hay, but the hay that is baled after peanut harvest.

Thanks!

Peanut hay? They're a legume, right? So I suspect it'd be okay. I know someone who feeds pea hay up this way. You could contact your extension office to verify the nutrient levels.

I fed peanut hay last year and they ate it fine with no problems. However it seemed to have a lot of waste because they didn't eat the stems. In Oct. I bought two large rolls of perennial peanut hay and they love it with little waste. Paul
