can someone tell me what time(s) of the year (months) are the best to sell slaughter kids? or more accurately, when are the religious holidays for the folks that eat the kids (50-60lbs) I see in my area that kids that are around 60lbs are bringing about $110 at the Buffalo, Mo market. did I miss my highest selling point? :Bawling: they only have the goat/sheep sale once a month. the last one was 7/26. the next one will be Aug. the 29th. or the last Tue. of every month.

For my area it's Easter(April) and 4th of July BBQ's, but it depends on which ethnic groups are in your area.
I don't know how to put in a attachmnet, so do a web search for: Meat goats ethnic calander.

Yes Easter and May 5th(Cinco De Mayo), July 4th. Ramadan which ends in November (Ithink) it is the feast after the fast, Kwaanza and Christmas which is around the same time. Usually between Christmas and Easter kids sell very well as there just aren't many.
