People talk about how mean dairy bulls are. So hereâs some questions. I assume dairy cow disposition is considered to be important. Is there a relationship between bull disposition and that of his female offspring? Or do you blame mean bulls on testosterone only? I wouldnât think so. If ornery bulls throw more ornery heifers, then why isnât there more effort to weed out mean dairy bulls? Seems if the bulls from other breeds are more gentle, the same could happen in the dairy breeds through selection. But maybe disposition is not considered in favor of milk production?
