(I know, this is guaranteed to stir up some hate, but it is what I can bring to the party. )

okay I found it! ièm definitely attracted to them. myself ièm dumb as a bag of rocks most times. what my intelligent husbands found in me ill never know
My kids Dad had an intellect off the charts, literally - but not a grain of common sense and unable to "just chat" even about the weather. Divorced him and married an Iowa dirt farmer. (No offense to Iowans meant). Dumber than a box of rocks and twice as boring. That marriage lasted about a minute. Now I'm single and happy.
Engineers don't make tolerable partners, either. I got VERY TIRED to being told how I could have done something that I'd already completed differently.
Men are biologically wired to seek out women smarter than they are. This works out well as beauty and brains are generally found together. Nature designed us this way so that we'd get smart kids. Nature also programmed men to be dominant, and beautiful women gravitate to dominant men---rich, powerful, athletic, flashy---If a man is worth his salt, a genuinely good husband, his beautiful and more-intelligent-than-he wife will allow him to -think he is dominant.
