I am new to this forum and am looking for information from any of the homesteaders / residents in the San Luis Valley. Between Alamosa and San Luis. I purchased our ten acres over 25 years ago and still haven't seen it. At the time a "Homestead Association" got in touch with me and had all kinds of info... I am trying to find out the status of the valley, water situation, how many homes have popped up, etc. I was contacted a few years ago about water rights and purchased them... I wasn't sure if that was legit, but figured if I didn't, the land would be worthless. Please reply / advise
My son in law grew up in Hooper, due north of Alamosa, on the 4th generation family farm. I’ll ask him when I see him, but maybe you should go see it Finally.
