No the nexus uses android as it is a google device and google puts the latest android software on the nexus first (since it is a "pure" android experience, no skins or tweaks like other android devices - - unless one is to buy google play edition devices offered at https://play.google.com/store/devices ). Other phones/tablets have to wait until the respective manufacturer releases the update for the new versions of android. I'm currently running 4.4.4 kitkat and android 5 (lollipop) is going to start being available November 3. If I get impatient waiting for the OTA update, then I'll just download it from google and do a quick install.The Nexus uses WIN doesn't it? Instead of Android? I seem to remember having issues with them when the HST app is used.
