Look at the stem bases, there are marble size seed there, at the top of the brown fuzzy base. Another way is to dig gently around the roots for a root knot, transplant the knot. I am putting in 2 wash tubs of seed this spring here.

One last question...when I find the marble sized seed at the stem base, do I keep the stem attached and plant the entire thing, or dig the seed out for planting?
