Howdy We just got ourselves a couple of weaner pigs. They were the last two of the litter and one is the runt. I've never had a runt before. Will she grow as well as the other one? We are just raising them for meat not to breed. Do they need anything special?? Is there some way we can try and get her to eat more or any tips?? Thanks Barb

Sounds like you need to watch out for Charolette

She'll be fine. She may always be a few pounds lighter than the other one, but that's no big deal. Or, she could catch and outgrow the other one. Not as likely, but certainly possible.

I'm going to start feeding as much as they will eat as of tomorrow, so far they have been eating a lot of greens (we have them in our overgrown garden as we moved here to late to plant.) and not needing much else.. but as of tomorrow I'll try and have 'feed' for them at all times. I also got some Hog 40 suppliment for them and will start that tomorrow as well... any ideas on how much hog 40 for a gallon of feed?? Thanks Barb
