I have always just used the same thing you use for athletes foot... ringworm is a fungus. You have to use tinactin (or the generic equivalent) for a couple of weeks, even after it looks like it's gone.

You can also use Gentian Violet. My son got it and it was very persistent and would not go away. The Gentian Violet finally worked. But it does stain everything purple.

The pharmacist told us to use Lamasil...like the stuff people use for jock itch. It comes in a cream, and takes awhile to work, but it does heal it well. You just won't see any huge results immediately.

check with the info that comes with Tea Tree Oil. It's used as a fungicidal, so I'm thinking it could work for ringworm.

mom always cured it on us kids by taking a fresh black walnut and using the juice that was in the outter hull that covers the walnut shell. It leaves a brown stain on your skin but it seemed to work for us. she put it on fresh every day

Ditto on the Tee Tree Oil. Have used it for a couple of different fungal infections and it really works, just smells funky.
