Rental ground in North Central Wisconsin?

    :help: Does anyone here know what crop ground rents for in North Central Wisconsin. i can seem to even get a good idea any where on the net. and the County Extension Agent is hard to call, as i am in Iraq right now so my phone time is designated talk to family time.

    Can't help you with actual $/acre but you can contact agriculture extension agents via the internet. Using the link below, you can select the county(ies) you are interested in under County Offices. That will automatically link you to that county's UWEX web page. Then click on agriculture under program areas. There should be a link to the agent's email following their contact information. I will tell you that some of the very far nothern counties in Wisconsin no longer have their own agriculture agent so you may have to contact an agent in a neighboring county. A secondary choice might be the community developement agent.

    Clark County-Taylor County has been $35-$45 an acre.

    is right at $30 an acre most places... some $35

    Rent is typically about the same as CRP payments per acre
