I've asked a similar question here in the past and was told to use the search. Well... there is nothing on the matter there.

Can anyone tell me any differances they have noticed between red and yellow jerusalem artichokes? Are red normally smaller? Do either produce a bigger crop? A taste differance? Nutrient differance? Are they both just as sturdy in heavy winds???

I'm really interested in these as a staple crop for me and maybe even markets (they go for huge $$ right now as "sunchokes").

I have some yellows and was just able to round up enough reds to plant- but not enough to try. Would like to know more if you can help.

    Thanks!!!

I think that the yellow ones cause indigestion and the red ones don't. I will never eat the yellow ones again! Stomach cramps!

Very interesting!! I haven't had any issues with them.... yet. Hopefully it was just the recipe??
Anything else, I'd love to hear about it- Thanks.
