We have now moved into a home where the dogs can come in and be pets again, which is really nice.

But!

For the last 9 or so months I have been feeding my dog whole, raw rabbits. About one every 3 to 5 days in addition to his kibble.

The few times I have noticed the belching is when he had had raw and then a car journey and I thought it was nerves as he isnt a very good traveler.

Seems its not nerves.

Why is the rabbit causing him to belch such sickening smells? They arnt road kill, they are healthy FRESH food!

It's the entrails.
I feed raw also, and if my two catch their own, they eat it all, fur entrails, everything, and my Maggie gets the worst gas, Oh Lord! It's just horrid!

When I feed, I remove the entrails, and no gas.
Hearts, livers, no worries..but if the "eat everything", stand about 500 yards, downwind!ound:
