We lost a long time friend and co-worker last month and it's still difficult. I hate losing the ones that have been with me most of their lives, it is always painful.

One quote that I find to be of some comfort ... with a great deal of truth ... from a source I no longer remember:

There is no joy without sorrow to balance it.

I'm sorry for your loss You and Jack had a wonderful life together and loved each other and respected each other so much. The story is a wonderful tribute to his life...what an awesome dog. Hugs to you through this painful time

I can't help myself, the tears just come out. What a remarkable dog and life. Thank you for rescuing him so long ago. They really are the best dogs.
