My rabbit has a eye infection on the outside of her eye? What must I put on it?
When people come into my pharmacy asking what they can do for their eye infection I tell them to see their doctor because there is no over the counter antibiotics to treat such conditions. I suspect you need to consult with a veterinarian.
Well, if you have any cow dry treatment around, or can purchase a single tube of it, that works pretty good in the eye. No offence to Doodlemom and she is certainly right for a human eye injury, but this is a rabbit we're talking about here. Lots of farmers use dry cow treatment for things like Pink Eye in cattle. The dry treatment is oil based and stays around better than the lactation formulas, which are water based.
Our new rabbit has a little white discharge around his one eye. Same treatment as suggested above?
Thanks! This is our first rabbit.
