The package of quilt blocks arrived today. Such wonderful work you all did!! I told Melissa I would do the photo posting so, as I get time, I will post them on this thread. Melissa, did you do a block? There is one block with no name on it. I am really anxious to get some time to play with these blocks and piece them into a quilt.

    "you're one lucky gal! "

I sure am!! It is so fun to see how everyone worked with the fabric and reading their notes. I thought yours was very wonderful by the way. :) (both the square and the note)

It will be beautiful!! I enjoyed looking at the pics of them that were posted everyone does such a nice job. I love quilt's and have made a few, but you all do such beautiful work, I would be leary to send one of my blocks in. Mine sometimes turn out a little less than square.

"Mom, why is this blanket such a funny shape?"
"Dang it child, there's a lotta love in that blanket, now hush up and go to bed!!"
"But Momma, it's still light out!!" :p

Yes, I did, sorry I must have forgotten to put my name on it~ It was the one with striped fabric, just a 9-patch.

Have patience now........I have to take the pictures, download them and then upload them to a photo site. With my slow dialup it could take a while to do that many photos. I am going to upload them to Photobucket into an album so it only requires one link to get to the album. At least that is what this techno-challenged granny is planning to do. Tomorrow is suppose to be warm here so I am letting the fire go out so I can clean the stovepipe before we get that cold snap that is coming, so it could be as late as Friday before it gets all done. It is a full day's work to get the stove all cleaned out, stove pipe apart and cleaned and back together.

The squares are really nice though and there is such a variety that it should make a gorgeous sampler type quilt. I think I am going to try and pull the green in the print out with the sashing next to the blocks and then use the featured fabric in a flying geese type border.

Diane, I hope you know I was only being funny. :) I am looking forward to seeing them, though.

edayna, I was joking also :)

O.K..................here's a test. I can not believe how much I have forgotten about my camera and computer!! Haven't done any of this since before DH got sick.

I need someone to test the link and see if they can actually see the album, or if I am going to have to link each photo.

Very cool! Can I just say as an aside (as we wait more photos to be loaded) that I keep seeing this thread title on the first page and I keep thinking it says:
    "QUILT BLOCKS CAMEL!"

    :)

I don't think the photos do the blocks justice. Several of them I photographed several times at different angles and different lighting and they still didn't shoot well. One is a really neat flower but the stem and leaves don't show up. Anyhow, I am anxious to finish the quilt that I have in the frame so I can start piecing this one and get it in the frame. Thank you all who contributed and put such nice work into your blocks.

I loved the one with the chair and window....

I havent ever participated becuase I havent had a sewing machine and didnt think I had time to handsew (not to mention the patience)

butI have a sewing maching now and I sewed some gift bags for Christmas ......if you ignore the first 3 that I did that werent very good (still had design kinks to work out) the others turned out awesome....

my 21yo niece exclaimed "Oh I love this bag! Where did you get it?!"

I said I made it and she said "UN-UH!!!!"

I had to prove to her that I did infact sew it and there werent any tags on it!
