My little doeling has been eating the n'timidator show goat feed from Land'o'lakes. There is only one place near me that sells this feed. I bought another sack yesterday only to find after I got home that it was full of insects and what looked like cotton pieces(mold?) I brought it back to the feed store and opened another bag only to find the same thing. I went somewhere else and bought some Purina show goat and she turns her nose up at it. Not even one bite. I even tried dribbling a little molasses on it and that didnt help. Any ideas or is it not possible to get her to eat it. I will not be able to get any more of the other feed until Thursday and that will be with a long drive to get it.

I think the "cotton" is webs from bugs. I'd call the store where you bought it and tell them, maybe they have a fresher bag?

Oops, I reread the thread and see that you went back. Hmmm......

Give her a chance. She will eat it. A goat won't starve it's self.

LOL Stan! Your right, they are little piggies when it comes to food. It may take them a few days, but they'll get hungry enough!

Mine would eat just about anything especially canteloupe!
