I was looking at the genie 2 and 3 lamps on Lehmans today and I wondered if either of those would fit one of those hanging frames.

Someone here has one in a cabin, but I can't remember if its Alex or cabin fever.

although costly, parafin oil is smokeless and oderless alowing one to crank up the height of the flame to give off more light without the "blacksmoke"

I was wondering if you could take the standard genie 2 or 3 lamp and place it in one of those hangers like the one you have Alex.. or if they have a different base.

Yes, the Genie III can be used as a hanging lamp.

See this at Lehmans: Hanging Genie III
