My grey FG had 5 kits with a Californian. 3 kits are completely white with red eyes. Does the black on the ear tips and nose come later?

Wierd. How old are the kits? My Cals usually start getting the point coloration about the same time as they have a decent coat of fur. Heard that if you breed red to black himalayan (ie Cals X NZ Red, etc.) sometimes the genes "cancel" each other out and you get albino (since the gene for red removes black coloration and the gene for black removes red coloration) but the whole genetics thing is kind of confusing! somebody w/ more genetics knowledge step in please...

The kits are 19 days old. I have 3 solid white/red eyes and 2 brown/dark eyed. Mama is full grey Flemish Giant, Papa is Californian. Don't know his pedigree, got him from the humane society.
