is there a breed of sheep that its comparable in size to nigerian goats?
perhaps baby doll southdowns could be
All measurements are at the shoulder and perpendicular to the ground on shorn sheep.
BABYDOLL SOUTHDOWN SHEEP should be from 18-24â tall
Southdowns are heavier though. I would compare a nigerian to a barbados, they are definatly more goat like and lean like a goat not stocky like a sheep.
Some of the primitive breeds are a bit lighter in body type. I know there's a great variety in the icelandic world, depending on whether the breeder has been doing wool or meat genetics.
How about a Shetland?

Definetely a shetland. They are on the smaller side, and delicately boned, and lighter. Babydolls, being originally a meat breed, are much thicker boned, wider, and heavier than the shetlands. The babydoll ewes outweighed our shetland rams.
