    Any ideas on preg testing?
I have a 550lb sow that is supposed to be preg. However my wife thinks she went into heat last week. I checked he the next day and couldn't tell, maybe a weak heat. If she is open then I will be sending her to the market. She is bigger than we usually keep.

I don't know about preg testers. You can put pressure on their backs like a boar stimulation and see if they "lock up"...meaning ears prick, and she literally locks and won't move. Count 21 days from when your wife thought she was back in heat again, and start checking for signs.

    Rob30,
U can have her ultrasounded , if you can find a vet to do it. in most parts of the country it is a very hard to find a vet to do anything what so ever for a hog, let alone a simple thing like prg testing.
In my opinion she is far to heavy to be having a litter, if i were u, i would put her on an immediate diet to trim her down in case she is in fact pregnant.
    good luck
    Rick

Like Rob said, if she is fat, she may not be cycling because of that.
